Advice from a Nobody

Many of you know me as the non-sensical, crazed man-boy who occasionally and irregularly makes posts on the Geekocracy blog as inane as “Sexiest Men in Comics” and uninformed as reviews for books I haven’t even read. Well now you’re going to know another part of me. Geekocracy readership, (all three a ya) meet Mason, self publisher. I’ve wanted to write a column about my trials and tribulations, defeats and defecations, in the comic book world for awhile, but have stopped myself for one simple reason: I’m a nobody.

I’m serious too. I make my own comics, write them, obtain artists to illustrate them, but I’ve really gotten nowhere. I am very much a nobody. I hope by documenting this I can either A) look back when I’m successful one day and laugh a good, hardy laugh B) fail miserably, but have documentation and therefore other creators in my position can study my path and pinpoint where I went wrong so they can avoid those same trappings.

Here’s to me and you, a relationship that hopefully lasts more than three posts.
